Jay Goldrick

Jay started his career in education at Nativity Prep, serving as a teacher from 2010-2012. He then worked for three years at Nashoba Brooks School in Concord, MA, where he taught Latin and served as the Dir. of Athletics & External Programs. Jay returned to Nativity in 2015 as Principal, and was appointed Head of School in 2019. Jay has a B.A. in Anthropology and Classical Civilization from Indiana University Bloomington, and was a Fellow in the Lynch Leadership Academy at Boston College in 2017.

Maddie Inlow

Maddie is now in her sixth year teaching at Nativity. In 2021 she became the Director of Curriculum and will be starting her first year as a Dean. In addition to her administrative duties, she will continue to teach 7th and 8th-grade science. Maddie graduated from Bates College in 2017 where she majored in biology and minored in educational studies. In 2020, she received her Masters in Education from Boston University.

Beth Mello

Beth has more than 20 years experience in independent and international schools. Having served in a number of leadership capacities across grades K-12, she has a genuine understanding of the complex work of schools to meet the needs of students through innovative and inclusive practices. In addition, she began her professional career as a VISTA (Volunteer in Service to America – currently named Americorps) volunteer and, with family roots here, she has a deep appreciation for New Bedford. Beth will be responsible for community outreach and garnering support for Nativity Prep’s future.

Calen Sandler

Calen started at Nativity in 2019. He holds an Associate degree in Animal Healthcare Business Management from New England Institute of Technology University and is currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology. Calen is responsible for building operations and technology needs.

Christine Quirk

Christine joined Nativity in October 2021 after working for 14 years at Metro Foods. Ltd located in Raynham, MA. She holds an Associate of Science degree in Travel & Tourism from Mt. Ida College and presently divides her time between the development and the business offices.

Ny-Jah Eastman

Ny-Jah began her journey at Nativity in 2023. She graduated from Bridgewater State University in the Spring of 2022 with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a minor in Criminal Justice. Ny-Jah will be responsible for supporting the advancement office and academic programs. 

Graham Davidson

Graham is starting his third year at Nativity as the school’s Social Studies teacher for all grades, previously he has worked teaching English and Science. Besides his teaching duties, Graham has been the school’s Soccer coach, head of the Music club, and several other extracurriculars. He graduated Lafayette College in 2020 after majoring in History and minoring in Math. Graham, like many of the other teachers, is currently working on his master’s degree in teaching Social Studies at Boston University and is set to graduate this summer. He’s excited to see everyone back in school and see students both old and new!

Fox Maxwell

Fox started teaching at Nativity in 2020 as a math teacher having graduated from Hamilton College with a major in Mathematics and a minor in Education. During his time at Nativity he has been responsible for the Dungeons and Dragons club, Newspaper club, and several other extra curricular activities outside of being a teacher. This year he is the 5th and 6th grade science teacher and the math teacher for 6th grade.

Brendan Bonner

Brendan is starting his first year at Nativity after graduating from College of the Holy Cross this past spring. Through his studies in English throughout college, Brendan developed a passion for reading and writing that he plans to bring to the classroom this upcoming school year. Aside from teaching English to the 7th and 8th grades, Brendan will also be assisting in advising duties, several after school activities, along with planning the community service aspect that is so core to Nativity. Though most importantly, Brendan is beyond excited to be a part of this community and is looking forward to getting to know the students!

Devon Pires

Devon began working at Nativity in the Spring of 2023, but this was not his first year at Nativity Prep. He began here as a student in 2010, graduating with the Campion class in 2014. Because Devon was a Nativity boy, he had the access to discover, apply and become a student at St. Andrews School in Barrington, RI. Following that, he spent multiple years studying Communications and Writing at Bridgewater State University, living on campus as a Resident Assistant, as well as leading new students during the summer orientation. With his time moving forward, Devon would like to return to school, but is also focused and committed to giving back what he once received; love, guidance, and a proper education inside and outside the classroom.

Colin Bradley

Colin has a love for the arts: Music, culinary, and painting. He entered at Berklee College of Music for guitar, and emerged a organist. Colin has spent his music career performing around the country, overseas, and locally. Alongside his music career, he has been well trained as chef in Boston at renowned establishments such as Top of the Hub, Bouchee, and Eastern Standard. He intends to bring his passion for the sustainable food practices, and love of music to Nativity.

Noah Avelar-Fortes

Noah is a 2015 Alumni of Nativity Preparatory School and had taken the role of front-desk in November of 2022. Additionally , he has taken the role of health office, and health teacher for the upcoming school year. Noah began his secondary educational journey at Bristol Community College in 2020. He graduated with an Associate’s Degree in Science and general education in 2022. Currently, he is pursuing his nursing career with the ultimate goal of obtaining his BSN.

James McGonigle

Jim is in his first year of teaching at Nativity Prep. He is a graduate of Holy Cross and has taught and coached athletics extensively at the high school level at Dartmouth High, Taunton High, Coyle & Cassidy High and Bishop Connolly High. He will be teaching both English and Social Studies this year at Nativity. 

Marcus Coward

Marcus is starting his first year at Nativity as a paraprofessional and is a Nativity Alumnus of the Marquette Class of 2013. After leaving Nativity, he went to Middlesex School in Concord, MA, followed by attendance to the University of New Haven to major in Criminal Justice. After serving in the US Army as an Infantryman, he is back in his hometown of New Bedford, pursuing a degree in Humanities at BCC, and happy to be back at Nativity after a long 10 years!
